Vilya designs molecules that biology never produced, from first principles, through AI.

The site had to be legible to two audiences at once: the chemists who would check the science, and the investors who would not. EATCH had already set the brand and the art direction when we came in. Our work starts underneath it, with a content architecture and a headless CMS, then the frontend and the motion on top.

A website is only as clear as its content model.

Two Vilya screens on a blurred green field: the “Curious. Precise. Collaborative.” section with its scattered value cards, and the contact form

We wrote the content strategy and produced it end to end, turning macrocycle science and a clinical pipeline into a narrative three very different audiences could follow.

Every section lives in Directus, down to its copy, its data, and whether it reads light or dark. Vilya can restage the whole story without touching a developer.

The page changes state as you read it.

A laboratory bench seen through glass, a researcher out of focus at a monitor behind carboys and trays, the whole frame washed in green and amber light

Scroll, and the ground shifts: each section carries its own light or dark register, and the canvas crossfades between them, section by section. Images resolve the way film develops — a coarse grid of pixels sharpening in steps to full resolution. Nothing snaps; every transition rides an organic easing curve, so the interface moves less like software and more like something grown.

Motion this heavy usually costs you speed. It didn't.

The site runs on Astro islands: static HTML first, JavaScript only where an interaction earns it. GSAP timelines tear down and rebuild cleanly across instant page transitions.

Imagery streams in progressively, and the scroll work stays smooth on a phone. Ambitious motion, no performance tax, measured on production:

  • Performance 93/100
  • Accessibility 92/100
  • Best Practices 100/100
  • SEO 100/100

Lighthouse, measured July 2026 on the production build.

The pipeline section on a phone: five programmes from oncology to immunology, each a progress bar filled part of the way in rust red

The drug pipeline animates stage by stage as it scrolls into view; key figures scramble into focus like a readout resolving. Data visualization in service of comprehension, so progress is something an investor can grasp without a biochemistry degree.

The result reads the way Vilya works: precise, computational, unmistakably ahead.
